Grzybowo is a picturesque seaside resort, located right on the Baltic coast, just 300 meters from the beach. It is situated on the route from Kołobrzeg to Mrzeżyno, only 6 kilometers from Kołobrzeg. What makes Grzybowo unique? It lies in an area known as the Grzybowo depression, where the elevation above sea level varies between 0.30 and 1.00 meters. The Baltic Sea near Grzybowo forms the scenic Grzybowo Bay, which is about 7 kilometers long, with an inlet reaching 800 meters into the land.
This unusual configuration of the coastline means that the water in Grzybowo Bay is warmer than the surrounding areas of Kołobrzeg. Importantly, Grzybowo and the entire coastal strip of Kołobrzeg municipality are located in a Protected Landscape Area, which means that special environmental and landscape protection rules apply here, including the rules of the Health Resort Protection Zone.
