Stadium Sebastian Karpiniuk

Sebastian Karpiniuk Municipal Football Stadium, also known as Kotwica Kołobrzeg Stadium, is the main sports facility in the city, located at Śliwińskiego Street 10. It is here that the Kotwica Kołobrzeg team plays their home matches. The stadium features two covered stands with a total of 3,014 seats and artificial lighting with an intensity of 1,400 lux. During the 2012 European Championships, it was one of 21 accommodation centers in Poland.

The first sports stadium at Śliwińskiego Street was opened in 1970 and has not undergone major modernization since then, apart from the replacement of seats. At that time, it had about 2,000 seats on the stands, of which 1,071 were seated, and a football field measuring 110 m x 70 m, which was not illuminated.

Work on the comprehensive modernization of the stadium was completed in May 2011. The total cost of the renovation amounted to 23.5 million PLN. The first match after modernization, between the Polish and Italian U-19 teams, took place on May 26, 2011. Unfortunately, Poland lost this match 1:3. Another match of the same tournament took place on May 29, 2011, where Italy lost to Ireland 0:3. The stadium was officially opened on June 3, 2011, with a friendly match between Kotwica Kołobrzeg and Lech Poznań, which ended in a 1:1 draw.
