The Red trail E-9

The tourist trail running through Kołobrzeg is part of an international red trail that stretches from the Atlantic across the shores of the North and Baltic Seas to the town of Braniewo on the eastern borders of Poland. The Kołobrzeg section is about 12 km long and runs through the following streets: Arciszewskiego, Wiosenna, Bałtycka, Solna, Spacerowa, Towarowa, Morska, Bulwar J. Szymańskiego, Al. Nadmorska, Al. Sułkowskiego.

Attractions and interesting places on the trail route:

  • Maritime Schools Complex – a secondary school educating youth in maritime subjects.
  • Park of National Unity – possibly the oldest municipal park in Poland, formerly known as Załęże Grove or Maikuhle.
  • Fishing Port – where you can watch the work of fishermen and purchase fresh fish at the morning fish market.
  • Solna Redoubt – a part of the port defense system from 1832-1836, currently a place for pirate educational programs and the location of the Kołobrzeg Maritime Museum.
  • Salt Spring – a site where Kołobrzeg brine flows.
  • Yacht Port – a modern marina where you can see yachts from around the world.
  • Morast Redoubt – also known as Swamp Redoubt, built in 1770-1774, now a sailing tavern.
  • Regional Cultural Center and open-air stage.
  • Lighthouse – built in 1945, it is 26 meters high and has a light range of 16 nautical miles.
  • Monument of Poland’s Wedding to the Sea – commemorating the symbolic marriage of Poland to the sea on March 18, 1945, associated with a legend of fulfilling a wish.
  • Pier – the longest concrete pier of its type in Poland, 220 meters long and 9 meters wide, constructed in 1971.
  • Stefan Żeromski Park – features a health path with numerous exercise stations.
  • Stone Redoubt – an element of the Kołobrzeg fortress fortifications from 1832-1836, now a site with a dining establishment.
  • Eastern Ecopark – an ecological site protecting unique habitats of saline marshland plants and animals.

This trail offers tourists the opportunity to explore the rich history, diverse nature, and numerous cultural and recreational attractions of Kołobrzeg.
